Recap of Friday Free Software Directory IRC meetup: November 6

by Joshua Gay Contributions Published on Nov 06, 2015 03:01 PM
Join the FSF and friends every Friday to help improve the Free Software Directory by adding new entries and updating existing ones.

In today's Friday Free Software Directory IRC Meeting we started things off by getting some tips from Yaron Koren of WikiWorks related to improving our Approved Revisions process, which should be completed over the next week. We then added and/or approved several new entries, including:

  • Let's Encrypt‎‎, a tool to automatically receive and install X.509 certificates to enable TLS on servers.
  • KeePassX, a port of Keepass Password Safe, which is a cross platform encrypted database for your passwords, usernames, URLs, comments, and attachments.
  • Tcalc, a terminal-based calculator.
  • Telegram, a multi-platform instant messaging client.
