FSF Associate Membership
The Free Software Foundation (FSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to freedom for computer users. We rely on individuals like you to support the FSF's mission to preserve, protect and promote the freedom to use, study, copy, modify and redistribute computer software, and to defend the rights of free software users.
"Over the past few years of using non-free software, I have come to realize the importance of what the FSF stands for. I have completely moved away from using non-free software and I absolutely enjoy it. My only regret is that I did not do this sooner. As a student, I cannot offer much at this point of time for support, but I pledge to do my best to spread awareness about FSF. This is the way of the future and the sooner we all realize it, the better." Srivatsan Parthasarathy, joined 2010/04/09, member #8674
"I'm a computer science student living in Dumfries, Scotland. Ever since I started using GNU/Linux as my main operating system in 2007, I've been advocating free software to my close friends and family. I wanted to show my support to the Free Software Foundation by becoming a member." Daniel Bell, joined 2009/12/01, member #8156
"I've long been a supporter of the ideas of the FSF and the whole free software movement. Today, I wanted to make a tangible contribution to the FSF, as well as openly declaring my support for the key advocate and defender of software freedom." Cathal McGinley, joined 2007-12-02, member #5886
