by Chrissie Himes Contributions Published on Jan 29, 2014 03:17 PM
OpenElections is looking for a part-time Python programmer!

The OpenElections Project is looking for a part-time Python programmer to help our Knight-funded effort to liberate election data from across the country. The role involves:

  • Writing code to obtain, transform, and output election results data in different formats.
  • Helping volunteer coders integrate their work into our data processing system.
  • Work with the core team to extend/refine the data processing system.
  • Help build a website to provide easy access to data for the public.

The ideal candidate will have solid Python programming chops, experience with MongoDB, and an interest in free data. Front-end coding skills are a bonus. This is a part-time, contract position with a target of 15-20 hours per week. Hourly fee is commensurate with experience.

If interested, please contact Sara Schnadt at sschnadt.projects@gmail.com.
