Innovations in Free Software

It is sometimes argued that proprietary software, by being proprietary, provides a necessary incentive for programmers to invent and implement new ideas. We know that argument to be false; we are building this area into a place where we can document all of the innovations that have been developed and implemented by Free Software programmers in Free Software programs.
