Nonimee candidates

Now that we have published the full list of candidates to consider in the FSF board process, it is time to start discussions about some of them. We have chosen these two as the first candidates to invite the associate members to discuss.

  • John Gilmore
  • Christina Haralanova

As documented in the board process, the FSF associate members will be invited to discussions considering these candidates in the nominee discussion forum.

The discussion forum will open on May 29th and is planned to close six weeks later. Participants must pledge to abide by the participation agreement.

According to the board process outline, eligible discussion participants are current associate members who were already members (or donated a comparable amount) between 2018-01-19 and 2022-10-19. We are now informing each of them by email.

After the discussions of these candidates, the voting members will decide which other candidates to discuss and, from time to time, take final votes on some of them; but not necessarily all of the candidates. For more information about the FSF board and the nomination process, see https://www.fsf.org/about/staff-and-board/board.

We look forward to learning more about whether these candidates would add to the FSF board.
