Come learn about GNU/Linux, a free platform and operating system! It runs and helps control everything from phones to the stock exchange and a panoply of devices and equipment in-between! The lecture will present an overview of "What is GNU/Linux?" as well as discuss privacy issues, data security concerns, and ways to protect personal and other sensitive information. Come learn about the best operating system that you're probably already using!
This is a repeat of the presentation from September 16th, but focused instead on adult themes such as small business needs and applications.
Register for the lecture. If the two lectures scheduled for September 16th and 30th, 2015, generate enough interest, a free, multi-session, in-depth class on GNU/Linux will commence starting on October 14th, 2015. For more information on the future class, see the draft syllabus. You can view the proposed class syllabus by clicking on its link.
