The Free Software Movement campaigns for computer users' freedom to cooperate and control their own computing. The Free Software Movement developed the GNU operating system, typically used together with the kernel Linux, specifically to make these freedoms possible.

This speech by Richard Stallman will be part of the event to launch Fundația Ceata, a Romanian foundation dedicated to free software and free culture and defending computer users' rights. It will be nontechnical, admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.
