Free Software Directory meeting recap for December 9th, 2016

by Ted Teah Contributions Published on Dec 14, 2016 09:27 AM
Check out the great work our volunteers accomplished at the last Free Software Directory meeting.

Every week free software activists from around the world come together in #fsf channel on to help improve the Free Software Directory. This recaps the work we accomplished on the Friday, December 9, 2016 meeting.

This week's theme was welcoming me back. I previously worked at the Free Software Foundation and am now back for round two. I had worked on the directory before it became a volunteer project, and so I have personally added many entries to the directory. So as I get back into the swing of things, we reviewed and updated my entries that I had added long ago. mangeurdenuage and donaldr3 did great work updating numerous entries, including some very dense ones like GNU Hurd and GAP. In total the group worked on 33 entries, such as Clabbers, Chrootkit, EMACS Common Lisp and Alerttail.

If you would like to help update entries in the directory we meet every Friday in #fsf channel on from 12pm to 3pm EDT (16:00 to 19:00 UTC).
