Did you know that the FSF is almost exclusively powered by individuals like you supporting us through member dues and donations? Here's what we've done with support from the free software community in the past month alone:

• For the eighteenth International Day Against Digital Restrictions Management, we organized worldwide protests against Microsoft forcing people to downgrade to Windows 11;

• After we heard that some of you were already eagerly awaiting it, we published the Free Software Bulletin with exciting stories about the topographic history of the FSF and how the FSF SysOps team is fighting DDoS attacks;

• For fans of New Year's resolutions, we published a list of suggestions you can follow to resolve to have a freer 2025;

• In the latest article from the campaigns team, we explained why free software is vital for governments of a free society;

• As every year, we published an Ethical Tech Giving Guide to help you choose gifts for your friends and family that respect the recipient's freedom;

• The licensing team reported on how the Licensing and Compliance Lab has been serving the free software community over the last six months;

• In the midst of DDoS attacks, the tech team sent a summary of the FSF SysOps Team's work including a detailed account of the migration of our telephone system from a physical machine to a virtual machine;

• With the help of wonderful volunteers, we've been busy fulfilling your GNU Press shop orders; and

• We've been continuously discussing the latest developments in free software and machine learning.

It goes without saying that this is all happening on top of the core work that the FSF does to support the free software community, such as: sponsoring the GNU System and Savannah, an important source code repository and resource for free software development; fiscally sponsoring other important free software development with the FSF's Working Together for Free Software Fund; maintaining and defending the Free Software Definition; educating about free software licensing; and providing free software development support including email, shell access, and mailing lists.

Technological freedom is important more than ever! We’re standing at the brink of even more profound change, and we need the support of the free software community to continue pushing forward.
