For the past few months, the Compliance Lab has been working with Creative Commons on a new project, and it's just been released. I'm happy to announce that Resource Description Framework (RDF) metadata now accompanies all of the GNU licenses.

facilitate transcription and annotation of video-recorded meetings. The project is 100% FLOSS (primarily MetaVidWiki), videos either CC-BY or CC-BY-SA in Ogg Theora, and text is CC-BY.

AcaWiki is a promising new project to build a body of scientific knowledge that is free to use, study, improve, and redistribute. Instead of waiting for journals to make papers more available, they're building a free equivalent that will be just as useful.
