We are looking for a talented, free software Web Software Developer who is passionate about music.

Description:

We are looking for a talented, free software Web Software Developer who is passionate about music to join our all-star programming team at Berklee College of Music’s award-winning online music school, Berkleemusic.com.

Job Essentials:


• Develop high-quality, reusable, and extensible free software
• Support marketing efforts for driving, tracking, converting and reporting on high volumes of traffic to our web properties
• Support design team efforts to enhance the brand and user experience
• Strengthen existing software platform and migration to Ruby on Rails
• Provide day-to-day issue resolution for existing code base

Qualifications:

• BS in computer science or a related field.
• Min. 3 years experience building large-scale database-backed web apps in a GNU/Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP environment - Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL a plus
• Strong data modeling, SQL and query optimization skills
• Strong knowledge of client-side including CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, DOM and Ajax techniques.
• Must be a self-starter who is passionate about music and works well in an unstructured, start-up like team-oriented environment.
