Jr. PHP Developer, (Newburyport, MA)
iMarc is a skilled team of web designers,
programmers, and business experts, located in Newburyport,
Massachusetts.
Our Needs
------------------------------------------------------
While this is an junior position, candidates should understand
object-oriented programming concepts, relational databases, and SQL.
Solid fundamentals, problem solving skills, communication skills, and a
desire to learn are more important than extensive work-place experience.
In addition to back-end PHP and SQL programming, this position entails
some front-end coding. You don’t have to be John Resig, but you'll be
interacting with JavaScript and jQuery daily. Clean HTML and smart CSS
is a requirement.
Key Responsibilities
------------------------------------------------------
- Write clean efficient PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code
- Maintain and edit existing web sites
- Write semantic markup
- Work collaboratively with our creative team and other developers
- Able to commute daily to our Newburyport office. Telecommuting is not an option.
We’re looking for someone who works well both independently and in a
team setting — someone who is organized, self-driven, and curious. If
you enjoy debating best practices and challenging yourself and your
co-workers, you’ll fit in perfectly.
What iMarc Offers
------------------------------------------------------
- Excellent opportunity to learn and grow as a web developer
- Attractive benefits package including health and dental coverage
- Company-sponsored retirement plan
- A fun, creative work environment, in excellent surroundings
- Challenging, varied projects
- Full-time salaried position with a stable, 12-year old company

doc.
