Senior Python programmer for high profile public health project.

The Bioinformatics Group that supports Harvard Faculty investigators and 200 staff, in NIH, CDC and AHRQ funded research on public health surveillance, Pharmacogenetics, Genomics and genetics of diseases.

We have an immediate opening for a Senior programmer with experience in Python using a typical free software stack including Django, MySQL, Apache; the applicant will design, develop, test, document and support distributed public health applications for the Division. The projects are high profile, see our website. A qualified applicant must have worked recently in Python and on multiple projects.

We would like you to join our team which includes system administrators, DBA, software engineers, and data managers in application specification and development. All of our team members are expected to be able to work independently to perform and coordinate programming, support, and operations duties.
