Research firm seeks web developer to setup, configure, develop, and maintain company’s e-commerce website, customer portal, website management system, and CRM applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain corporate website, CRM application, and other associated systems and processes to support the company’s online presence.
  • Implement and manage e-commerce and lead generation systems and integrate data with CRM system.
  • Extend current website functionality to permit display and modeling of data using AJAX, PHP, MySQL, etc.
  • Optimize user experience of corporate web properties, website management system, and CRM application.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a high level of application and data security.
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years experience developing websites using secure coding practices (OWASP) and programming in a GNU/Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP environment.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clean, structured, commented code and database calls and procedures.
  • Experience building e-commerce sites using Drupal.
  • Experience customizing SugarCRM.
  • Advanced knowledge of PHP and MySQL, along with cross-browser standards for CSS and HTML.
  • Knowledge of best practices in application security.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Joomla is a plus.
  • Deadline-driven with excellent organization and communication skills.
  • TERMS:

  • 1099 contractor position.
  • Portfolio review required as part of interview process.
  • Part-time work, flexible hours.
  • Pay negotiable depending on experience.
  • Location: Carlsbad, CA. Prefer local candidates, but willing to consider others in Southern California.
