Senior Customer Support Technician, (Montreal, Canada)
Are you a top notch Customer Support Tech? Can you solve problems, escalate the proper ones, and mentor junior techs all at the same time? Yes? Then we're looking for you.
Position immediately available in Montreal. Provide technical support via phone, IM and email for our Free Web software and our hosted software service to end users and administrators. Manage and prioritize support tickets through Web-based tools. Escalate serious issues to developers, documentation, sales staff. Mentor junior technicians. Generate and analyze customer service request reports to inform product design and development.
Requirements:
Three years of customer support experience for hardware or software products
Fluency in English
Familiarity with email and IM
Skilled with using browser-based applications
Able to work from Montreal, QC office
Completed high school
Pluses:
Experience with customer support for software, esp. Web software
Fluency in French
Fluency in one of: German, Russian, Mandarin, Hindi
Familiarity with installing and administering Web software
Familiarity with GNU/Linux command line
Familiarity with MySQL or other relational database software
Familiarity with PHP and/or PHP-based programs like WordPress or Drupal
Familiarity with RT ticket-tracking system
Familiarity with bug-reporting systems
Bachelor degree or equivalent
