OLPC is looking for an experienced Linux Kernel Developer to contribute to the systems software effort on our next XO-1.5 laptop release. We're looking for a broad skill set working on an x86 platform with integrated peripherals and a aggressive and innovative power management design. You'll be working with a small and highly talented staff plus a volunteer and user community distributed worldwide. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of kernel development with upstream integration and expertise in diagnosing and debugging low-level systems software. This position is located at OLPC's engineering offices in Cambridge, MA. Work from other locations is possible for exceptionally qualified applicants, with occasional travel to Cambridge, MA.
GNU/Linux Device Driver Developer
OLPC is looking for an experienced GNU/Linux Device Driver Developer to contribute to the systems software effort on our next XO-1.5 laptop release. We're looking for a experience in a variety of device driver technologies, including video, audio, disk, and display devices, and with various interface stacks. USB and SDIO experience and skills are particularly desirable. You'll be working with a small and highly talented staff with a volunteer and user community distributed worldwide. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of varied device driver development with upstream integration and expertise in diagnosing and debugging low-level systems software. Linux Build and Distribution Manager
OLPC is looking for an experienced GNU/Linux Build and Distribution Manager to contribute to the systems software effort on our next XO-1.5 laptop release. We're looking for a team member with experience in managing build and distribution production for various GNU/Linux distributions, especially Fedora, and in helping to coordinate upstream submissions and patches. The ability to track a large, complex software project with multiple build targets and packaging requirements is essential. You'll be working with a small and highly talented team with a volunteer and user community distributed worldwide. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and shipping production-quality software. This position is located at OLPC's engineering offices in Cambridge, MA.
Systems Test Coordinator
OLPC is looking for an experienced Systems Test Coordinator to contribute to our next XO-1.5 laptop release. We're looking for a team member with experience in designing, implementing, and tracking test plans for a full GNU/Linux operating system release. Experience with major GNU/Linux distributions, especially Fedora, is preferred. The ability to track a large, complex testing project with staff and volunteer testers worldwide is required. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and shipping production-quality software. This position is located at OLPC's engineering offices in Cambridge, MA.
