Seeking a Drupal Developer with experience installing, configuring, and developing modules while collaborating with a diverse group remotely and meeting deadlines.

The Open Media Project is looking to add another Drupal developer to our team. This person will be based at one of the community television stations using the system’s beta version in Amherst, MA, Austin, TX, Boston, MA, Davis, CA, Denver, CO, Portland, OR, or Urbana, IL.

This will initially be a one (1) year contract position with the potential for full-time employment based on the success of the Open Media Project and this working relationship. This person will report directly to the development team in Denver, but will also work closely with station staff at the location where he or she is based.

The Open Media Project's mission is to develop and distribute a free software tool set that will enable public access TV stations, community media centers, community technology centers, and other community media organizations to work together as user-driven, locally-focused, alternative media networks. The project has many facets (encoding, scheduling, checkout, metadata, social networking, etc).

We can utilize developers with a variety of skills and backgrounds. However, the person in this position will be required to do more than install and configure Drupal modules. Some experience developing modules using accepted Drupal standards and practices is required.

We will give preference to candidates with previous experience who can meet deadlines while collaborating remotely. Experience with online video is a plus. No relocation funding is available. You either need to be in one of the seven (7) locations or be willing to move there at your own expense.

Please include a cover letter, resume, and URLs of previous work along with salary requirements in an email.
