We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill a position as a Software QA engineer for our line of audio processing hardware.

Comrex is a manufacturer of digital audio hardware used by broadcasters worldwide. We are a well-established, privately owned company located in Devens MA.


Specific duties:

  • Creation of system and regression test plans.
  • Implementation of test plans, including automation via scripting where possible.
  • Tracking, prioritizing and managing bug reports.

  • Important Skills:

  • GNU/Linux.
  • Basic knowledge of C++ and multithreaded programming.
  • Subversion revision control system.
  • Scripting language experience (e.g. perl, python, etc.)
  • Candidates must have a BS degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent experience.


    Since we are a small, dynamic company, preference will be given to candidates who exhibit additional skills and experience applicable to our company and products including:

  • Interest or experience in electronic manufacturing including CAD, metalwork, and mechanical design.
  • Experience with embedded GNU/Linux-based systems.
  • Interest or background in digital audio or broadcasting.
  • Interest in design and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuitry.
  • While the position is well suited to those with these backgrounds and interests, we will consider entry-level candidates with exceptional attitude and drive.
