Ad Product Developer, (San Francisco, CA)

We are looking for an Ad Products Developer with plenty of PHP, MySQL and large scale website development experience.

Digg is looking for an Ad Products Developer with plenty of PHP, MySQL and large scale website development experience. You'll help architect and implement creative, engaging, social and relevant advertising offerings for the Digg community.


Learn from some of the brightest minds in the PHP, design and operations communities.


Description:

  • Play with Memcache, Gearman, Mogile, PEAR, etc. in a high volume environment
  • Create site and contribute to free software projects while you work on high traffic and scalability problems at Digg.
  • Facilitate communication within business, quality, product and technical teams
  • Help enforce and refine development practices
  • Assist in feasibility analysis and estimation
  • Communicate status and escalate issues.

    • Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Web development
  • 2+ with PHP/MySQL/Apache
  • Experience with third party ad network integration, inventory management, targeting, and optimization strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with web analytics, custom reporting, A/B testing, quantitative analysis
  • Proven ability to communicate with business teams effectively
  • Solid experience with version control, JavaScript, CSS and OO programming
  • Knowledge of Git, Python, Memcache, SOA, PEAR, and JSON is a plus
  • Knowledge of PHPUnit and test-driven development desirable
  • Knowledge of microformats and open standards are nice to have
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar/relevant field preferred
