Myplanet Digital is a small, exciting, and rapidly expanding software consulting firm that has been providing digital strategy to clients for the past 10 years. We help organizations bring together marketing, operations, strategic planning, and IT through the use of online assets like web and mobile applications. We currently have an office in Markham and are establishing our first international office this month.

Role Description:
We are looking for unique, innovative web application developers. The type of people who like to stay up late and work on exciting problems, and seek to make a positive impact on all projects that they touch. Key responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop Drupal-based applications and sites from start to finish
• Development of detailed project and product specifications
• Integration of web and mobile applications through web services
• Document code, write and run application and unit tests
• Work closely with and report status to inter-office teams
• Contribute customized, sanitized modules to Drupal’s free software community

Job Requirements:
Individuals interesting in applying should possess the following skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering
• 3-5 years of web and PHP development
• Expertise in website management systems, with at least 1 year of experience in Drupal module/core development and an intimate familiarity with the Drupal API
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong initiative and a proven track record of success
• A strong desire to be proactive and do things differently

The following skills would also be desirable:

• Evidence of contribution to Drupal’s free software community
  
• Knowledge of Javascript libraries such as jQuery and standards compliant HTML/CSS
  
• Building high performance web pages with Drupal in a multi-site environment
  
• Comfortable working in a version-controlled software development environment (i.e. Git, Subversion)
