Richard Stallman - "A Free Digital Society" (Bucharest, Romania)
von 09:30 bis 11:30
There are many threats to freedom in the digital society. They include massive surveillance, censorship, digital handcuffs, nonfree software that controls users, and the War on Sharing. Other threats come from use of web services. Finally, we have no positive right to do anything in the Internet; every activity is precarious, and can continue only as long as companies are willing to cooperate with it.
This talk by Richard Stallman will be the keynote speech at the Fundația Ceata--organized Coliberator conference. It will be nontechnical, admission is gratis, and the public is encouraged to attend.
Stallman will also be speaking at other venues, in Rm. Vâlcea, Cluj-Napoca, and Chișinău, as part of Fundația Ceata's local-teams tour. Please see his events page for more information.
Fundația Ceata is a Romanian foundation promoting Free Software and Free Culture and aligned with the philosophy of the GNU Project. RMS was the guest of honor at its launch, in Bucharest, in February 2013.
