Richard Stallman will speak about the goals and philosophy of the Free Software Movement, and the status and history of the GNU operating system, which in combination with the kernel Linux is now used by tens of millions of users world-wide.

This speech by Richard Stallman will be part of Fundația Ceata's local-teams tour, which will include stops for him in Rm. Vâlcea and in Cluj-Napoca, as well. Please see his events page for information on those speeches and for details on the keynote speech he will be giving at the Fundația Ceata--organized Coliberator conference, in Bucharest.

Fundația Ceata is a Romanian foundation promoting Free Software and Free Culture and aligned with the philosophy of the GNU Project. RMS was the guest of honor at its launch, in Bucharest, in February 2013.

This talk will be nontechnical, admission is gratis, and the public is encouraged to attend.
