Chips and Motherboards that support a Free BIOS - coreboot
You can help our campaign by buying AMD CPU chips and not buying
Intel. AMD have been helpful but Intel needs to be persuaded. Likewise, buy motherboards that support free BIOS. Tyan Computer Corporation are very helpful to the coreboot project and employ a full-time coreboot developer.
How you can help
- Get involved with the coreboot project.
- Purchase Motherboards that support coreboot. You might also find the list of some of the full system configurations that we use at the FSF helpful.
- Make statements about what you are doing in support of a Free BIOS.
- Send e-mail to Intel, asking them to cooperate with a fully free BIOS. Also send them a snail mail letter at:
