LibrePlanet planning meeting: November 20

by wtheaker Contributions Published on Nov 08, 2013 06:29 PM
Planning for the next LibrePlanet conference is underway, but we need your help.

The volunteer committee meets monthly to plan the logistics of next year's conference, such as advising on the program, assisting with outreach efforts, helping plan social events, and putting to use whatever skills you would like to share.

There are several perks to volunteering. Volunteers will be able to attend LibrePlanet 2014 for free, will be publicly recognized, and will be making a significant contribution to making this conference even bigger and better than the last.

The next meeting will be in the FSF office (51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA) on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 6:30pm (23:30 UTC). There are also many opportunities to get involved for those outside the Boston-area. Remote participants can attend the meeting by joining #libreplanet on Freenode at 6:30pm (23:30 UTC).

Want to volunteer?

To get involved in the planning for LibrePlanet 2014, join our mailing list for LibrePlanet volunteers. While you're at it, reach out to a friend and ask them to get involved as well; the more the merrier! Meanwhile, you can visit our conference brainstorm page and add your ideas for workshops, topics, or a speaker you’d like to see at LibrePlanet 2014. Hope you can help out!
