Referral gifts

If you are an FSF associate member, a way to contribute further is by recruiting others to join and support our work. Spreading the word about our work, and how FSF members enable us to do our work, is help that we appreciate.

When you recruit new members who name you as their inspiration for joining, you score referral points. You can trade these points in for gifts from the FSF.

3 referrals: Free Software, Free Society Shirt
8 referrals: Any two referral gifts
16 referrals: Any three referral gifts
32 referrals: Any five referral gifts

Please note, any points traded are lost. You can choose when you trade your points for gifts.

During the sign-up process, new members will be asked for the username or member number of the current member who inspired them to join. Make sure you give the people you speak with this information, so you can get credit for your work. If you're not sure what your username or member number is, you can find out by writing to membership@fsf.org. By logging in at member.fsf.org, you can view your current referral count.
