LibrePlanet and our Annual Meeting

by Matt Lee Contributions Published on Feb 08, 2005 11:56 AM
We hold a conference each year in the Boston area -- admission is free for FSF members.

Over the years our annual membership meeting has grown into a multi-day conference. Attendance is still free (as in beer) for FSF members. LibrePlanet 2011 will be held in Boston, Massachusetts on 19th March 2011. (Looking for this year's schedule?)

The annual meeting section includes presentations by the FSF staff and board of directors, in addition to discussion and conversation with the members.

In 2009, we added an extra day which we ran Open Spaces-style. You can see here that we were able to cover a lot of ground that way.

In 2010, we added an extra schedule track, allowing for further discussion.

For the 2011 conference, we are scaling things back a little bit, as we plan to make the conference even larger in 2012.

Take a look at the schedules of the past events to get an idea of what the meetings have been like and where they're going.
