You can join FSF as an associate member on a monthly or yearly basis. If you are a full-time student, you can join at a discounted student rate. Dues for monthly and annual memberships can be paid online with a credit card, with optional auto-renewal. For annual memberships, in addition to direct credit card payments online, you can pay with PayPal; or offline via check, money order, or wire transfer.

As your situation changes, you can convert between the payment options below (standard, student, monthly, annual) or cancel your membership by contacting the FSF.

Credit Card Payments

You can sign up for a monthly or annual membership with a credit card. All credit card transactions are handled securely online. You can also set up your membership to auto-renew at the end of your current membership period.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB.

Check and Money Order Payments

If you wish to sign up for an annual membership using a check or money order, please sign up for an account using the Join Now! button and select the appropriate payment method.

Wire Transfer Payments

If you wish to pay for annual membership using a wire transfer, please sign up for an account using the Join Now! button and select "Wire Transfer" as the payment method. You may also renew your annual membership via wire transfer.

For a wire transfer to be properly credited to your account, please be sure to enter your membership account username in the reference field of the transfer. You will receive an e-mail notification when the payment has been received. If your wire transfer has not been credited to your membership account within ten days of being sent, please call us at +1-617-542-5942 or email us at membership@fsf.org.
